There is a bunch of cool stuff and a caboose right next to the museum
We took our son to the Newburg Children's Museum multiple times when it was just starting. From the beginning, they had high hopes and I feared that it would fail. They kept at it and continued to improve. It will never compete with the children's museums in large cities, but it is good in its own way. Our normal visit would involve going to the museum and having a picnic by the railroad tracks. Our son liked the dinosaur room and digging for "fossils" in the sand. Because it is small, we usually received very personal treatment from the staff. It has been a few years since we moved away from Missouri, but I check the website now and then to see how much the museum continues to improve.
It is getting old and no one goes there anymore.
